Pros

Acm care has many great people working there, many willing to go above and beyond their job descriptions and salaries.

Cons

Management is a joke, there is no HR, no payroll , no handbook, no real rules. Things are given to you on a sheet of paper that you only have a few minutes to read and decide on before a signature is required or you are fired. Everything is based on the emotions of one single person and they are going to run the company into the ground. They are out of touch and lazy.

Pros

You get a great experience in social work and seeing some difficult situations and being able to help elderly within the community. It’s a very rewarding job if you can tolerate the negligence from management.

Cons

The director micromanages, sends you inappropriate texts (that should be said either in person or over the phone) and has a very passive-aggressive management style. I can’t count on my hands how many times I had received inappropriate text messages for certain things that could’ve been resolved much quicker if I hadn’t gotten a threatening text. There is also no room for growth and development. Demotions come at the blink of an eye and you are told that it is only temporary just to find out that if you threaten to quit you get a promotion. There is also an unrealistic expectation of paper work. Everyone(in the field) is expected to do 12 packets a week and seeing 16 clients per week or you will be demoted to part time(without signing a new employment contract) and the employee working in the hospital is expected to do 35-40 packets a week on top of seeing 70-100 people and going to 3 different hospitals. It’s extremely unrealistic and unfair to work your employees to the point of burning out while also not offering many “catch up weeks” so that paperwork is up to date. At one point I had 170+ undone packets on my desk and was expected to complete all of them in 3 days. It is a very toxic environment especially when almost every employee is just looking for an out at any chance they get.
