Pros

Consistent 8 hr days, with no weekends.

Cons

Poor compensation. Top performers are not rewarded, which leads to unmotivated and lazy employees. Little opportunity for growth and advancement. Stressful work environment for those who give effort.

Pros

Working with suppliers because they’re all nice

Cons

The Digital Experience “team” is not a team. Blame culture is high and everyone talks about everybody. Overall company culture is toxic and “unlimited PTO” really means No PTO because the managers can’t function without you for a day. They call you after hours and don’t even realize it’s your lunch break because heaven forbid you step away to eat. Who does that? A lot of employees come from JCPenney and they expect everything to function the JCPenney way but I’m sorry, JCP is an irrelevant department store for your grandma. Do NOT let them fool you in your job description. You do busy work and stay chained up to your desk 9-12hrs a day. Every. Day.

Pros

Benefits are decent enough. Though, surprisingly lacking for a corporate as large as Resideo.

Cons

Resideo destroyed what was once a desirable company to work for. Incentives for employees to stay long-term have been almost entirely removed, causing exceedingly high turnover at many branches. Without senior staff, branches lack the ability to effectively train new employees, which results people in poor branch performance and inability to meet sales goals. Your commission is tied directly to the branch meeting the monthly sales goals. When goals are not met, your pay is dramatically reduced. None of this is within your control, but corporate will tell you otherwise. Corporate does not give branches the tools they need to succeed. Instead, they pile on more and more inane tasks and reports that MUST be completed in absurd timeframes and accomplish nothing for the branch other than wasting your time. So, people quit and branches are constantly short-staffed. Those who do stay are worked like dogs and treated like second class citizens by corporate. All of which culminates into an extremely poor customer experience. Also, the only way to move up at the branch level is to either relocate to another branch in need, or wait for your current branch manager to get fed up and quit. But I strongly advise against accepting any branch manager position.
