Never give them money

Pros

The best advice I could give is never ever give them access to auto withdrawals.

Cons

Do not ever give them access to your funds. I left the union over a year ago. Not only did it take them two months to do their paperwork so that they could charge me for another two months but a year later they are still taking out union dues from my pay!!! They have no contract to do so. They owe me for a year of dues and are refusing to pay me back. It is illegal for them to take funds from your account without a current contract.

Pros

Good pay and benefits. Reasonable, but growing workload.

Cons

The elected leadership is absolutely awful. Everyone from the National President down are embarrassingly stupid and lack dignity. It is the worst of the “woke” culture.
