Looks Good On Paper, But Reality Says Otherwise

Pros

Rapid growth, but internal challenges remain

Cons

I was initially drawn to this company because they seemed to have a strong emphasis on employee rights and welfare. But after some time, it's clear that a lot of what's presented is just sugar-coated and not genuinely followed through on. One of the most telling signs? The constant turnover. Employees frequently leave, which says a lot about the actual work environment. A big issue is the management. Many managers seem inexperienced, which impacts their teams negatively. Another concern is the lack of ownership. Instead of taking responsibility, many try to pass their work onto others, making it hard to get things done or know who's in charge of what. In short, while the company tries to present a positive image, the reality for employees is quite different. Would advise those considering joining to think twice.

Pros

I joined AIHR to help HR professionals with growing their careers by making a strategic impact on business outcomes through the use of People Analytics and Digital HR skills - and this what I feel I'm doing every day. What I like the most is that by helping AIHR learners to be more successful, I'm also helping to shape the future of the HR domain in a global context, which is awesome! The team is also a big plus. It's fun to work in a beautiful office, conveniently located in front of Rotterdam's Central Station, making the commute much easier, even if you're coming from another city.

Cons

As with any scaleup, there are some things that the company is still in the experimentation phase and figuring out the best way to move forward. Therefore, it's not unusual to see changes. This could be very exciting for some people, or a downside for others. However, I genuinely see the willingness to do things better and not settle in with just good enough, especially with things that are customer-facing, which for me is super important.
