Pros

Great coworkers! CEO did a great job getting together a great team, too bad he can’t keep people around.

Cons

To be blunt, CEO is the main problem. Extremely overbearing, condescending, offensive and intimidating. Takes advantage of his power to instill fear in his employees, forcing people to feel obligated to lie and hide information to avoid getting yelled at/ reprimanded like we are in grammar school. Have to log every single thing you do throughout the day, and know your search history is probably being checked. Blames his high turnover on “generational” disloyalty, but has had abut 12 hires (of all ages) leave in under 2 years from a company made up of no more than 8 people. CEO expects employees to work overtime with no compensation and if you leave on time you are leaving early. Know that if you are working in the office, you are being watched on the “security cameras”. Taking a day off almost seems impossible, and expect to get push back when asking for deserved vacation time. Witnessed CEO yell and reprimand staff in front of their peers, causing an extremely hostile and uncomfortable work environment. No official handbook/ employee manual. Overall awful experience.

Hated every minute but it was a paycheck

Pros

Can't really think of any, to be honest.

Cons

Primary con is the owner. Great salesman. Horrid leader. Utterly fails to inspire at every level, is clearly a narcissist while also is passive-aggressive. Expects employees to work as hard for the company as he does despite an utter lack of ownership or inspiration. Comments about working late or on weekends is continual. Expectation is that any wrong work is to be redone on personal time so essentially the expectation is perfection the first time. These glowing reviews here? Lies. Owner pretty much coerced entire staff to write them as part of a "rebranding" effort. Everyone I have spoken to hates the place but again, it's a paycheck. Job Growth? Minimal. Two people have been here more than 15 years. They are both pretty much doing the same role. Other than that, there's pretty much one person for each "department."

Pros

Working at Amplify is an amazing opportunity to learn and grow. The company is constantly innovating, and there are always new challenges to take on. The team is incredibly supportive, and there is a strong culture of collaboration. I have learned so much in my time at Amplify, and I am excited to see what the future holds.

Cons

There are some downsides to working at a fast-paced company. The hours can be long, and the workload can be demanding. But overall, I believe that the benefits of working at Amplify outweigh the challenges.
