Several people in management are emotionally abusive. Since January (it’s now May) nearly every single woman on the email team has quit. The CEO has an incredibly bad temper, insists on micromanaging and running close to 1/3 of ALL the firm’s email programs himself, never logs off and takes pride in this. He tries to make up for this by referring to workers as “family” and heaping verbal praise on people he likes (usually men). Only one person on email has been promoted since spring of 2020, you’re expected to work 12 weekend days a year (more if you’re entry level) plus holidays, there’s no work life balance.
