Pros

Great group of people to work with. Feels great when you are able to help people find somewhere to stay, but sometimes you have to deal with people who don't appreciate what you do, or just need someone to take their aggression out on.

Cons

Sometimes people take their misfortune out on you. Phone can be extremely busy at times. There are a lot of turnover of the lower employees

Pros

The only pro is the employees are nice. Not the managers, the employees. They also offer good benefits. Health insurance and dental

Cons

There are many, many cons. You WILL be over worked. This is an absolute fact. This company will chew you up and spit you out when they are done with you. The most stressful job you will ever work, period. Management will be on your case if you have ONE bad day. If you have even ONE HOUR of being exhausted. Most recently, management decided to call a meeting (one of many) of their 5 most productive employees, and they did so in peak hours. The meeting lasted nearly two hours, leaving the rest of the employees to suffer and take on an unfair workload by any standards, that will set them back the rest of the day. The new manager proceeded to send an email out to the entire company "please pick up the phones, the level of business is such that you should NOT be saying no to taking any calls" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? We've been working our behinds off all day trying to play catch up from when you removed 33% of the an entire section of the staff for a 2 hour meeting. Its insulting to have this happen, and it happens all the time.

Bad work environment

Pros

My coworkers are great and are willing to help out when they can. I guess the location is good too? Plenty of good restaurants for lunch and the river is right there too.

Cons

Where to start? We moved to the new building and it's an entire new company I'm working for. Do Row and Rob read these reviews HR? Because they should. Moving to the new building has been awful. It's like walking on eggshells constantly. We can't have anything on our desk. We can't use our own water bottles to drink out of. We can't use our own coffee mugs. We can't have tissue on our desk. We are harassed constantly about cleaning the kitchen and bathroom. We are only allowed 1 picture on our desk. We are only allowed to sit in certain chairs for break. We are 100% overworked but aren't allowed to eat lunch at our desk. If we can't multitask (eating lunch at our desk and working) we are forced to skip lunch entirely because our workload is too much. It went from a fun company to work for to a job myself and so many others dread going to everyday. It's not fun. The work environment is terrible. The micromanaging is out of control.

ALE Solutions Response

I wanted to personally respond to your comments. I read each review and your categorization of ALE as a bad work environment was hurtful. In designing our new corporate headquarters, it was my heart's desire to make every employee feel at home. My intention was to create the most beautiful work environment possible, filled with lots of break room areas, spacious work stations, and warm and personal touches. Much like my own home, I wanted the employees (our ALE family) to take pride in keeping our home clean and welcoming to those working here and to those who visit. My idea was not to take away anyone's individuality, rather to provide some everyday tools, like the water bottles, pictures frames, and mugs as a welcome gift to our home. Responding to catastrophes is a part of ALE and I acknowledge and appreciate that many, like you, have put in extra time to accommodate families in need following Hurricanes Irma and Harvey and the CA wildfires. Thank you! I care deeply about how employees are feeling. In fact, the design of the building was centered upon how employees would feel each day as they came to work. My door is always open if you would like to talk to me personally about your thoughts and to better understand my hopes for ALE.
