Pros

Work life was okay. Most Co workers were very talented and friendly.

Cons

Totally unorganized - my co-workers were great to work with, but upper management was not only disorganized, they thrived on giving owners unattainable completion dates, then would run you through hell trying to make the dates. When an owner was mad, it was always your fault, not theirs. They don't appreciate anyone who goes the extra mile. They play favorites with certain employees, and change their minds in an instant. This is a company that loves big dollar contracts, but operates like someone out of their garage. Lots of wasted time and money on the wrong things - always telling the customer what they wanted to hear, and never living up to their promises. Amazed they are still in business.

Pros

They pay well and over standard, travel, come and go as you want, repeat work from 1 client, environment

Cons

Upper management, revolving door, paying subcontractors, oversight. You don't know who is in charge. To many meetings. Lack of true project estimating the PM's do it.

Pros

Great culture and opportunity to get on the ground floor of a great design studio full of talented and passionate people. A place to gain experience in design and construction, and rub elbows with engineers and PM's to understand the entire design process. Projects are interesting and complex, with the opportunity to really have a say in the design process that you would never get at a large design house. Great place to get experience in healthcare design. Project team leaders and construction-side PM's are approachable and incredibly helpful. They value taking time to teach you something new or collaborate.

Cons

Honestly, none! Location is a bit far from the city if you're a local, but is typically an easy 30-40 minute commute on the orange line and then a bus drops you off right outside the office.
