While working at a gas station had its moments, there were definitely some downsides. The hours could be tough, especially during late-night shifts when I felt more vulnerable and had to stay alert. Dealing with difficult customers, like those upset over gas prices or refusing to follow basic rules, could be stressful. The monotony of certain tasks, like constantly cleaning the same areas or dealing with mechanical issues at the pumps, got tiresome. On top of that, the pay wasn't always great, making it hard to feel fully appreciated for the hard work that went into keeping things running smoothly.
