Archaic management styles, political allegiances, incompetent managers, smoke and mirrors regarding successes and failures

Pros

Decent first job, good financial and technical resources, the building empties by 4:30 or 5 revealing those employees who are truly dedicated to making a difference

Cons

Highly political, conservative company, good old boys network, very few women in senior management, advancement is achieved through managing up rather than through excellence in job performance, greenwashing - they don't walk the talk

Good experience. Learned the dos and dont's of how to maneuver within a political framework.

Cons

The over-all culture is not good, and unrewarding; I think that the incumbent CEO is working to change some of those aspects.
