Pros

There are some good quality people working here.

Cons

i didn't realize how bad this company was until I moved on finding a job with a much better company that actual cares about its employees. Compensation is well below average. Bonus program is terrible, low bonus percentages and they are deferred over 3 years. Basically a retention tool for them. I personally did not hesitate to take another job leaving money on the table here. Executive management sets unreasonable budget income goals for bonus targets. As a result bank officers get paid bonuses because theirs cannot be based on income but normal staff get nothing because the bank never meets its budget goals. Health insurance premiums are expensive with super high deductibles. I heard after leaving that the CFO actually wanted to cut offering health insurance as benefit and just give employees a stipend and make them go get their own insurance. 401k match is usually a measly 2% paid out 3 months following year end if paid at all. The bank is privately owned with the two primary owners holding executive positions. They care nothing about their employees only padding their own pockets. They view employees as robots or machines. One leaves you can just plug another one in. Anyone with talent will not stay at this company.

Pros

There are none. I'd think twice about working for this company. Especially if you leave an employer for this place..." The grass is definitely not greener"

Cons

Worst company I have ever worked for! They will work you to death with no appreciation. Consistent turnover. Upper Management is quick to demand what needs to be done, but couldn't do it themselves. Executive Management does not take the time to value their employees or customers. Quick to fire long term staff who have worked hard and they promote/ retain the lazy, kiss butt staff. Stuck in the way banking used to operate 20 years ago with lack of respect to the frontline staff.

Pros

- The management in my department was fantastic. - Home vs. Work balance was great. - Management had great intentions.

Cons

The bank is stuck in the stone age. Every process, procedure and price hasn't been changed since the early 90's. They have a new CEO who is fantastic and wants to push the company forward but he is being met with fierce opposition. I witnessed the same opposition in my position. The bank has employed the same people for a long time, and all of those people are extremely afraid of change. This fear causes immense amounts of push back. This creates a very "Cliquey" environment. If you provide ideas that are progressive or outside the short sight of some of those long time/scared people, you are treated poorly. I was literally ignored by one of the higher ups. I have never been blatantly ignored in a professional environment in my life, I would say good morning or hello and that person would not even acknowledge my existence. All because I shared ideas that opposed her way of thinking/life. Those opposed to change would rather manually keep track of things via spreadsheets and hard paper than to move into the digital age. Usually the job is the reason things don't work out but this was the opposite, it was the people.
