Pros

There is a great culture at APD where it feels more like one big family than segmented teams. It's a huge part of what makes APD a great and unique place to work. There is plenty of opportunity to get involved in different areas of the business and self-driven initiatives and projects and encouraged.

Cons

There have been a few people leave the business to move onto other opportunities which is always a concern but many of these people had been with the company for 2+ years. Management are working on replacing these team members so the future looks bright.

A company that has lost direction

Pros

Senior management doesn't really care what you do, so long as it sounds like something they should do and falls into line with what they feel will work. So if you can hide under the radar and look like you're busy, happy days. Learn to make everyone think you're "smashed" and you'll be set. There are some good staff that work there. There are some great social events in Sydney, less so in Melbourne and other offices.

Cons

Salary review process, managers look after their mates and those in the boys club. Training is non-existent. Ethics of the company are questionable. Company is losing money hand over fist. See the annual report, APD are publicly listed. As someone else wrote it is hard to get investment in things like computers, WiFi etc, true statement. The other person who wrote about the boys club, spot on comment.
