Great staff--really nice people to be around/respectful/fun, benefits were great (except PTO), nice office, interesting industry and nice members.

Cons

Pandemic caused huge financial crisis and turnover, HR lowballs salaries for some, uses past history for offers (which has nothing to do with a person's current value and is illegal in some states for a reason) and they don't negotiate. Vacation and sick time are lumped together which some people like but it results in less vacation time (especially for those who have been in the workforce longer or have health issues).

Working at ASIS was extremely fun and gratifying. I supported our international volunteers and really valued building connections with each and every one of them and feeling as though I made a difference in their experience with ASIS. I felt empowered and supported by upper management, and really enjoyed working with the department I was a part of.

Cons

Finances had some issues prior to joining in 2018, and through pandemic staff saw two rounds of layoffs. Uncertainty around whether the HQ building would be sold and if work may remain remote.
