Most deliverables are recycled from past projects without modification. They've started using LLMs to cut corners even further. Clients pay top dollar for boilerplate work that takes minutes to generate. The schedule is punishing. Weekends disappear. You'll get texts at 11 PM requesting changes, and if you don't respond immediately, they treat it like you don't care. Client and manager feedback rarely leads to real improvements, just quick fixes before sending things out. Leadership is harsh and reactive. They'll call out failures in front of the team, pick favorites, and drop urgent demands with no warning. You won't get real mentoring, there's no clear advancement track, and what they call mentoring is really just pressure to work longer hours.
