Pros
Since there’s no proper management, reporting structure or HR, you’re pretty flexible with time and workload.
Cons
No resources. Management expects you to accomplish unrealistic goals with no support. Any internal funding you need to meet goals, good luck with getting that support. You and your team basically needs to source and submit for external funding in order to purchase anything. No clear structure with no meaningful guidance. Too many meaningless meetings that eats up most of your day. No room for growth. Poor salary, no pension, no work from home. Company policy and benefit are very outdated, and nowhere near industry standard. If you’re looking for whatever job that just pays bills and you can put up with endless meetings, go ahead and apply here. But if you’re looking for career growth and want to actually work, this is no place for that. You’ll be twiddling your thumbs here for sure. AUG has so many senior employees who’s worked here more than 10years, but they can’t retain younger people. They all leave after 1-2years after realizing that AUG is a dying company living off of government funding.
