Pros
The only good reason to work here that I can think of is the flex time. You can start your day earlier than your normal 9-5, the caveat is you need to request it and wait for approval, just like everything else at WinAir. But this only works if you want to come in earlier, there is no way of staying late because the office closes at 5:30 and they don't have a security system that allows all employees to come and go anytime. There are only a few people with the keys and alarm codes.
Cons
Well, pretty much everything else honestly, which is sad. The level of micromanagement is unrealistic and obsessive. The owners kids (managers) have zero to none people skills and they believe that the way you run an organization is by controlling what everyone is doing 24/7. There is always this "us against them" mentality which creates an awful office culture, I mean there is no office culture. You are constantly trying to cover for yourself because you never know who's going to get in trouble for not asking permission to do x, you have no ability to make any decisions without consulting them, regardless of your role. There is no room for growth because ownership wants everyone to be at one level so they are the only decision makers. The feeling is that the owners trust nobody and everyone is there to take advantage of them or that they are doing everyone a favour for employing us. The managers are completely unprofessional, but you can't really blame them, because they're not qualified for their roles. They will talk on their own team members back and talk personal information you told them. Before the pandemic, working from home was joke and you need to follow so many rules that most people didn't even bother or unfortunately would make up reasons because if you ask to work from home and if it's for work life balance, your request would be denied. Also, you need to log every everything that you're working on and you're paid based on the hours you worked, so it's hourly based not a full time position. There are so many different tools to log time that is exhausting. That is only thing they will invest their money it's on this type of tools to micromanage, other than that computers, office furniture and the space is completely out of date. They really don't care about their people and they're not afraid to hide it.
