Pros

Great coworkers, relaxed atmosphere, best office in Colorado.

Cons

Ava exploits contract work by paying per trip - often leading to below minimum wage pay for your first season. Noone expects to become rich being in the outdoor industry, however it should not take living in a car, working 10 hr days, being on a days notice for trips, and having no guaranteed pay for last minute cancellations in order to save a couple thousand dollars after 5 months of dangerous, hard work.

Pros

-Unlimited PTO -Free adventures for employee -Discounted adventures for family's and friends

Cons

-Owner of the company has no sense of what's actually happening within each department. -Management doesn't care how much effort anyone puts in. You can work 12 hour days, 7 days a week and will still get yelled at because of something that actually has nothing to do with you. They NEVER say thank you. -There are many cases of discrimination within this company. Especially disability discrimination. Many autistic workers have left because of treatment. Many autistic workers are fearful of telling them about their disabilities due to watching others being treated horribly. - salary employees used to clock in and out until it was brought up that the company has to pay salary employees overtime. Suddenly we were told not to clock in and out any more. - this company sued the federal government because they didn't want to pay their guides fair wages and still lost all their guides because who wants to work for a company who fights against paying you correctly? - highest turnover rate I've ever seen in a company
