Pros
The business idea is a good one and there are many interesting products to learn…if you are given the chance to... You get a benefit plan… if you’re on the in.
Cons
The problem with this company stems from improper management. There is a lot of favoritism towards certain employees. If you are not liked, your every movement will be tracked, emails, lunch breaks, bathroom time and you will be asked what you’ve done on a minute-by-minute basis. The turnover rate is unbelievably high. For just the sales team alone, which is about 3 – 4 people, it has seen over 15 different people in just over two years. Some staying on for as little 3 weeks; most don’t last a year. Management doesn't care and in a way encourages this. To start, you are promised interesting trips and everything appears great, but the cracks start showing quite quickly. Employees are severely underpaid and expected to work long hours. Expectations and forecasts are randomly made and can never be met. No matter what you are told when you are hired, you will never get a raise and the bonuses dwindle down to non-existent after a couple of quarters. Items will be quoted behind your back so you cannot get commission on it. There is no formal training and very little time to actually learn the broad range of products. You are constantly criticized if you take the time to do so. Your shortcomings are discussed with employees instead of with you directly. The micromanaging from this company is on another level! This job will ruin your professional traits and your personal life. Ultimately, if you are looking for a career, don’t waste your time. Worst case this place is a holding ground until you find something else.
