Pros

The office I was in had flexible work hours and a casual dress code. Aside from that, I cannot come up with a good reason to work for this organization.

Cons

When I started there was an enormous amount of turnover due to the high volume of work and little to no support. When I left, the amount of work had dropped significantly, and there was still little to no support from management. Corporate culture in this organization is abysmal. It's all about the bottom line; the employees are simply a means to an end. They certainly are not concerned about turnover. You would think that if a long term employee suddenly gave notice that they would do an exit interview. You would be wrong. Communication within this organization is nonexistent. Everything feels like a big secret with management giving out bits and pieces. While every office is different, the office I was in was very cliquish. If you are not part of the group, the work environment is uncomfortable at best.

Pros

Abeo has great vacation and sick leave policies, as well health and dental insurance benefits after 90 days. Paid training included. If you need to sit down all day, this job is perfect as well. An hour break is convenient, and you can be up to 10 minutes late without a word from management. There are raises yearly.

Cons

The work at abeo is stressful to say the least. You will be collecting payments from angry patients, trying to get insurance companies to pay, and working as hard as you can to meet certain quotas. The employees are comprised mostly of women, and the majority of upper management is men. I wouldn't mind the work as much, if we were paid more than $12.00 an hour with $0.50 raises once a year. On my own team, I am forced to bring food and decorate for 13 co-worker birthdays every year. Also, no ipods or cell phones, but I still have to listen to my co-worker's crappy music for 8 hours a day on her hand held radio.
