Pros

-People are awesome: The colleagues here are fantastic. They are supportive, friendly, and make coming to work a genuinely enjoyable experience. -Work-life balance: It's super uncommon to have a thriving work-life balance in the finance industry, but they somehow are able to manage it well. You won't be working yourself to the bone here -Benefits are great: takes a lot of stress out of the equation -"I work for Ableton" cool card

Cons

-Extremely low pay and no room for growth: The elephant in the room. The compensation is far from competitive, and it's disheartening to see no real opportunities for career advancement. It's hard to stay motivated when your efforts don't translate into financial or professional growth. Cheap pay here its so sad especially during hard times. -Lack of unity within the different sectors: There seems to be a significant lack of cohesion among the various sectors of the company. This leads to confusion, lack of direction, and a sluggish pace in decision-making. It feels like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. -Meetings and talks that lead nowhere: If you're a fan of endless meetings and discussions that ultimately yield no tangible results, this place has you covered. It's frustrating to see so much time and effort wasted on discussions that go nowhere. -Slow-moving processes: **Everything** that goes on within the company takes an excruciatingly long time.. Whether it's making important decisions or implementing changes, the snail's pace can be maddening, especially when it affects the livelihood of employees.

Pros

Ableton attracts a lot of smart and lovely people The mission of empowering music makers is cool

Cons

It's clear that Ableton has unfortunately become a victim of its own success. One of the primary results of this growth is that the company outgrew its C-suite and many of its top leaders several years ago. It's quite disheartening to see power-grabbing, nepotism, and a lack of self-reflection among some of the upper echelons of management. Amongst other things has this led to numerous instances where genuine accountability doesn't trickle down to the appropriate individuals within the organization. What's even more troubling is that any evidence of a hostile, toxic or inefficient workplace tends to be systematically suppressed by certain managers when it doesn't align with their preferred narrative. Most regrettably, inappropriate behavior from individuals, often in senior positions, can go unchecked and the consequences are conveniently brushed aside if you happen to be well-connected within the company. It's disheartening to observe that a portion of the staff seems unwilling to acknowledge the company's flaws and instead view Ableton through rose-tinted glasses because of its music making mission. This organization doesn't seem to foster a culture of constructive criticism among its employees. I can't recommend anyone joining Ableton until there's been a real shakeup within the leadership layer.
