      It's like tech startup meets architecture and engineering company

      Pros

      Above Green is an exciting fast paced, dynamic company, with no bureaucracy. Things get done. People grow and get paid.

      Cons

      If you are looking for a structured, safe, bureaucratic, slowly climb in the ranks type of job then you should probably work with a different kind of company.

      Run as fast as you can

      Pros

      About a 10-15 person company. The work is repetitive but easy. Lots of down time to play chess, run or hang out in the office.

      Cons

      The company is up to some nefarious stuff. The owner consistently writes fake glassdoor reviews here. They have a fake SWAM designation to help them win government contracts ( they lie about being female run/minority owned). This is not a safe place to work as person of color or if you’re a female. The owner requires you to participate in social activities and tries to invade your privacy. They promote a flexible work schedule but it’s not worth it. Even with a masters or second degree, the salary Vince will offer will be insultingly low. They openly scam clients and encourage the team to do the same by giving boiler plate and templetized deliverables to the clients. Overall it’s a shady company run by clueless people.

      We're saddened that you had a negative experience working for the company and that you felt like the compensation that you accepted for your position was not market rate. However, it is not nice to spread misinformation about our business practices and it is unnecessary to disparage our female cofounder with hateful, hurtful, and clearly patriarchal, attacks. . Above Green is proud to be a woman-owned small business with a diverse staff.

      Pros

      - profit sharing and full transparency - amazing benefits - fit bits, fitness classes, healthy snacks - flex hours and freedom to plan your day - Work/life balance is encouraged - Nice office in super cute town - We get work from the winery some days

      Cons

      - your excepted to be pretty independent - you have lots of freedom, but that might not work for some

      Thank you for the positive review. As a note to more recent readers, the company still provides health benefits, flexible hours, and unlimited paid-time-off, but we are now a fully remote organization.
