Pros

Small company to were a lot of hats but with absolutely no support or strategy to support clients, especially its largest clients who should run from this partnership

Cons

Had to lie to clients and other vendors on a daily basis about what was actually going on behind the scenes. C suite non existent and unaware and not interested in issues with largest clients which is 90% of the revenue. Employees and clients unaware of clear signs organization is up for sale and that CEO is using resources to better another interest clearly reflected in declining revenue. If you connect with staff just under C Suite they will share this is a sinking ship, fast.

Pros

The company is solvent (at least they say it is).

Cons

This used to be a good place to work. Nobody ever worked here for the pay (except maybe top management), but it was a fun, supportive and flexible atmosphere. If your kid had to go home early from school, no problem you could make up hours another day, or if you had a doctor appointment at lunch and it took a little longer, it was OK. What mattered was that you did a good job and got your assigned tasks completed. A nice atmosphere and flexibility was the trade-off for below-industry standard pay. And it worked. People got their work done, treated each other with respect and everything was good. Now, it is miserable. Micromanagement, multiple emails about "company policy" instead of actual answers to questions about benefits that suddenly disappeared. Meetings where employees are insulted in front of others. The opinions of skilled employees are literally dismissed by people who don't even understand the subject matter. If the pay was top notch, perhaps that would be fine. But if they want to treat your employees the as badly as Steve Jobs treated his, then at least pay them the same way too. Otherwise, the management needs to stop listening to whatever some "productivity consultant" is saying and go back to what worked. This was a good company. But not anymore. Do not apply here, and run, don't walk away from an offer. PS. If you used to work at Twitter, you'd be better off going back instead of coming here.

Pros

All of the individuals I've worked with are great! People have positive attitudes and are always willing to answer questions and help in any way possible. Good work-life balance, and it's rare to have to work long hours. Project budgets are good, and there's not such a need to haggle with linguists over rates.

Cons

There is little room for growth within the company. I'm not sure whether it's due to the company's size, but there is a lack of opportunity to step outside of the Project Manager role and really learn something new and explore other opportunities at Acclaro. Emphasis is not placed on investing in employees in regards to adequate training (general loc. PM training as well as what's new in the industry), and there is little acknowledgment of a job well done in regards to raises. While this is not necessarily uncommon in many other jobs these days, it is clear that the higher-ups at Acclaro don't have much regard for experienced PMs' work and do not give raises unless the PM takes on 2 or 3 times their original workload.
