Pros
• Excellent transparency all-around. Communication between levels of staff is generally strong, and junior staff are able to access leadership.
• Perks and benefits are great, and staff are paid a livable wage.
• Huge fan of the newly-renovated DC office.
• Staff are here to do good work. Standards of rigor are high and the production of good materials comes before any procedural nonsense.
• Coworkers are, by and large, kind, clever, and grounded people.
• Genuine internal commitments to diversity and inclusion. The staff come from diverse backgrounds and, in my experience, largely feel that their capacities to flourish aren't impeded by exclusionary policies or structures.
Cons
• New hire training needs improving.
• Few opportunities to participate in social or community events outside of working hours.
