Pros
Small company feel, everyone knows everyone, including CEO. Everyone's nice to everyone, with only a few exceptions. Good quarterly presentations, giving a good overall snapshot of how the company is doing. From what I've heard from the CEO, it seems like he knows this business as well as anyone. If I wanted to have a chat with him, there is ample opportunity to do it, and I don't get the feeling he would be offended by direct feedback from a lowly employee.
Cons
Small company mentality, especially those in management that have worked here for a decade or more. I've come to believe it's because they can't work anywhere else, or don't want to now that they've built their little kingdom and have full control over their job function. Those are the people that have an inflated sense of importance, and feeling of entitlement over others new to the company. This would only apply to the Corporate Headquarters in Burlingame, not the field offices. The quarterly recognition just seems like a rotating plaque that eventually gets to everyone, or a way to recognize people without actually giving them the money they deserve. Like a shout out will make up for long hours and low pay. It's pointless fluff.
