Pros

Will not fire you unless you really crap the bed. I really can't think of much else.

Cons

EXTREME micromanagement. The management team is awful. 0 human interaction at work, all the talking you do is through email, and bi-monthly company meetings are completely useless, every team just says "we're busy" and you go back to doing your work. Teams are forced to give up their weekends for work, for months on end, and all management does is say "thanks we appreciate all you do." Pay is garbage, and don't expect a good pay increase for any of your yearly evaluations. Will constantly try to train you on things you did not sign up for in your job description but will not increase your compensation along with it. Management only cares about their bottom line. This means they will pay you as such, and will find ways to save money as much as they can instead of investing it into their staff to prevent burnout and turnover in the industry. Management will keep staff working tooth and nail every day for months on end because they would rather have 5 people on a team working day and night, rather than 7-8 people comfortably working so that people can actually get a good work-life balance. Employees are forced to work weekends because the teams are so bare bones you don't have the option to take a day off, not even for the weekends in some cases. Not to mention, the PTO structure is absolutely abysmal, so you can only take 5 days off the entire year without having it affect your income. They expect you to dedicate your life to this company like it's some kind of family, but they only want to keep the staff small enough so they are not spending too much money on their employees paying their already low salaries.

Pros

My coworkers were/are awesome people.

Cons

The entire upper management is abusive and toxic to their employees. They rash talk employees at the drop of a hat in public and private spaces, to other employees faces. They have toxic opinions about the youth, social issues, politics, and more. They were free to offer and laud these opinions, but employees were heavily penalized and shamed for ‘excessive talking.’ They expect and force you to be cross trained across departments with no additional compensation. There is no clear process for disciplinary measures, with the same offense getting different responses based on offender and who handled it. There is no clear communication process between employees, middle management, and upper management. There is NO training department. All training is done by fellow employees without training experience. And as soon as you’ve learned your job past a point, you're expected to train others with no compensation of any kind. They will abuse your time, mental health, and hard work all for petty profit. The owners are a couple, and are only onsite to talk profit and be toxic. Every conversation with upper management I had was toxic. Veiled digs and not so veiled digs at other employees, or employees in other business they own, were extremely common in most conversations. HR only exists to protect management. While the persons in HR were pleasant enough to talk to, they were extremely unorganized, uniformed, and far too busy with other work to ever help. Every single department is understaffed and they do not actually care to empower and incentivize people to stay. This is hands down the worst company I’ve ever been employed at, and if I could leave a 0 I would. You and you coworkers will have the cheapest and most uncomfortable equipment to use such as desks, chairs, etc. while the company meeting spaces and executives have comfortable and new equipment. The office chairs alone haven’t been replaced in 7+ years. I even got a friend hired three months into my tenure because I was so optimistic about the job. Three months later, myself, my friend, and 16 other employees were all “let go” for one reason or another. Reasons were given, but they rang hollow for all the ones I connected with. Don’t waste your time here. They will use you up, spit you out, and fire you with no warning, no meetings to discuss performance, and no steps taken to help you in anyway. Middle management is full of either people who have worked there long enough to become indispensable and can’t be fired, or employees ‘field promoted’ to Team Leads or Managers who don’t have the skills to actually manage people. The work loads swamp middle management anyway, and they spend most of their time putting out fires and doing work they don’t have enough employees to finish.
