Fantastic Company, Agile & forward looking
Pros
I worked with AT for almost 2 years and was surprised (borderline shocked) to see few reviews here. I wouldn't have left if I wasn't relocating back to my hometown and I think that says a lot in itself but let me highlight the key aspects of why for me it's still one of the best places I have ever worked with: - its a forward looking company, in a very niche space, where the Indian commerce is headed. - You learn from veterans in the industry. - I was absolutely illiterate when it comes to Technology (I was part of business team) and now I know about AI, Omni-channel, Micro-services etc in detail. - Its a Global company with offices in Bangalore & Singapore. And they reached so far in last 4 years so the velocity of work is incredible and they have places to go. No stopping them. - They are good pay masters and the increments are also far better as compared to the other MNCs in the industry. - Work culture is extremely fluid. Each employee gets a say and the CEO himself takes up questions, feedback, reviews & answers each & every one of them on weekly all-hands. - 'All-hands'- another very impressive step towards creating a open culture. Even though its a start-up and since in India they are the pioneers for -Omni-channel, taking time out every week and making sure each employee gets to know what's happening in the company, puts forward their views, feedback if any and can do so anonymously as well. This was the 1st company where I saw the concept of 'All-hands' and I have worked in MNCs in India & abroad. Its a good one! - New employees are welcomed with a proper orientation and cheered for during all hands. - Lots of focus to give employees a fun environment by doing sports tournaments, parties, excursions, Birthday wishes, cake cutting, farewell parties, making sure Food is always there in the pantry etc etc are just few examples. - Employees are heard and that's incredible. Doesn't matter if you an executive or a director. This I can vouch for. - Very lean structure in the company. No supremacy. - Ownership is advocated and recognized. - Taking initiatives, risks sometimes but calculated ones, are always welcomed. The management is appreciative of that a lot. - Its a Tech-driven company and their product is getting stronger & stronger every day. - Even all exit interviews are taken directly by the CEO, who is also the founder where he makes sure he takes feedback and also works upon it. (again something I can vouch for as I saw my feedback taken into account). - The company has grown at a great velocity in last few years and it is primarily because of the agile & forward thinking approach. - Has a very Easy & open atmosphere in the office. Even the founders sits next to everyone. No cabins etc No compartmentalization. (Except offcourse for the finance guy) - They value people who are honest to their job & the company. Honesty & character is important and they value & uphold such standards.
Cons
- I remember some people taking benefit of the 'flexi hours' concept and as the head count keeps growing, this might become an issue. - Few gossip mongers are there but that's everywhere. I never entertained such gossips, focused on my work and hence I grew in the company. Can't seem to think of any other cons to be honest.
