The upper management promotes a very cut throat environment, promoting those that throw their colleagues under the bus. This type of environment creates a culture revolving around job security and lack of trust and team work. The CEO and his HR team is more openly concerned about the influx of money and the first impression view of the shop than their employees and the internal culture. Expect to be worked to death as explained in previous reviews, more time, more responsibilities without reward or mentorship, and don’t expect to have outside priorities such as families or a life, because they don’t care.
Do not be fooled by the pretty stainless steel walls and shop uniformity, they will expect you to, like the machines, run like a robot. The internal metric goals are typically unrealistic, and, if hit or exceeded, questioned on an individual level. Again, forcing the “teams” to individually turn on one another. If you enjoy spending your days redoing and questioning others’ work, and cleaning and recleaning your space on a microscopic level, than this might be your Cinderella slipper, but you will be treated as so by the step sisters of management. And don’t expect any valid training, just to start out in a sink hole trying to climb your way out all while getting run back over by a semi truck.
