      Pros

      I met some wonderful colleagues.

      Cons

      Where do I start? Cases of bullying that even reported to HR, through proper management channels and even to upper management, get totally ignored. People at Director level with little to no Clinical Research understanding or knowledge. Office politics imported from other companies famous for that in the Bay getting worse by the day. No growth opportunity. AZ: This does not look like you.

      - The science behind the cancer drug in development is solid and the drug will benefit pts - Office Manager does her best to create a comfortable and creative environment - Company tries to offer people work/life balance - Funding from AZ - Good opportunity for entry level employees to come in, get the experience & then move on within a short period of time - Financial opportunites

      Cons

      - Favoritism exists - HR dept could be improved - Fast pace burns people out - Turn over in Clinical Science creates a void plus the MDs then get lured to companies where former Acertans now work - Moving to SSF will impact commute time for people who live in the East Bay, South Bay, and Santa Cruz areas.

      Great people, collaborative, high compensation, great perks

      Cons

      There is an emphasized focus on drilling everyone to work as hard as possible to deliver their corporate goals. No one cares about the employee morale, training and developing people, or that there are teams with not enough manpower to support workloads. Management truly does not care.
