Pros

Some dedicated and hardworking colleagues who truly care about students Opportunities to build strong relationships with certain supportive staff and families

Cons

Leadership shows clear favoritism and biases which creates an unwelcoming environment for many staff Passive aggressive communication and lack of transparency in decision making Staff morale is consistently low with many leaving mid-year or at the end of the year Inability to retain strong and effective teachers due to poor leadership and lack of support A strong focus on appearances over substance which takes priority over student and staff well-being Inconsistent discipline practices that lead to classroom disruptions and burnout High workload expectations without adequate support or resources

Pros

- Forever relationships built with students and families.

Cons

Communication from leadership. Very clicky, toxic environment where favoritism is a way of life. Is not properly or fully aligned to their own core values.

Pros

There is nothing positive about this place.

Cons

My time at Achievement Prep PCS was defined by toxic leadership, mismanagement and a complete lack of respect for teachers and students. From the top down, the environment is driven by passive aggressive leadership and a culture of hostility. The leadership team is aimless in their vision and lack the competency to effectively lead. They’re more interested in maintaining control and preserving the status quo than supporting staff or ensuring student well-being. Their leadership style fosters division and confusion and they’re consistently out of touch with the realities of the classroom. The so called "culture team" is another glaring example of the school’s dysfunction. They are uneducated about child development and frequently rely on aggressive, even violent, tactics to “manage” students. Meanwhile, many of the men in the building perpetuate hypermasculine behaviors, screaming in the faces of young boys and even threatening to fight them if they don’t “man up.” It’s deeply disturbing. Staff are routinely high at work—yes, literally under the influence—yet somehow the administration either doesn’t notice or simply doesn’t care. Instead of supporting students, some teachers spend their time making crude and unprofessional comments about children’s bodies, parents, and skin tones. If you’re a teacher considering working here, be warned: you will feel unappreciated and expendable. There’s no genuine effort to retain good staff, no real regard for staff wellness and no real accountability for leadership’s failures. If you’re a parent, be wary—this is not a school that prioritizes student safety or growth. I would strongly advise any educator or family to look elsewhere if you care about a healthy, supportive environment for teaching and learning.
