Pros

My immediate team is great. 401k match.

Cons

We love to say how people focused we are which is hilarious. Just got told we have mandatory in-office days of Tues / Wed / Thursday despite being on target year after year and having enough capital to continue purchasing other companies. Morale was decent because we had some level of flexibility - now there's zero flexibility and it feels like a prison. People are literally walking around with clipboards to make sure you're here, you have to send office managers notes to say if you're sick or on PTO so they can compare against badge swipes. False sense of culture - we're not in kindergarten, stickers and candy aren't it. The 'perks' we do get like mat leave are bare minimum at best - it's just short term disability with pay caps. There's 87 HR people you have to reach out to for simple things and you get no answers and incorrect documentation. Employee systems are a joke and there's about 52 of them. Our PTO request page looks like it was drafted using excel as a guide. Actually, excel is better.

We regularly engage with employees across the business to get feedback and make improvements based on this. Over the last few years, our employee surveys have been overwhelmingly positive and the team have let us know where we can improve, that's why our benefits offering has been upgraded in the last 12 months. Please do feel free to reach out to us via email and we are more than happy to look into why your experience was not what we would expect and discuss this with you.

Sinking ship with archaic ideals

Pros

Used to have flexibility since we were remote (even prior to Covid). Not anymore.

Cons

- The leadership at the executive level has archaic ideals. They believe forcing employees who have always been remote (even prior to Covid) will create “culture” and “engagement”. All it is doing is creating a culture where everyone trauma bonds over the absolute terrible leadership by sending each other memes, TikTok’s, gifs and reels about how miserable they are because their company is terrible. They are making it pretty clear their goal is to get people to quit so they don’t have to lay them off and pay severances. - Acosta is way behind on pay. They have done numerous pay assessments with outside parties that return the same results “below market value” every time and they continue to do nothing to change pay. - “Merit increase” (if you can call them that) were as low as 1% this year. - The company knows the employee perception is so bad they created this new Glassdoor page for the “Acosta Group” instead of trying to improve the score of the original Acosta account. Don’t be fooled. The company would be below a 3.0 if they hadn’t created a new page and hounded current employees to go to Glassdoor. - Acosta is a sinking ship that will run its employees into the ground until they quit. After that, they will not backfill and just give those remaining more work with no pay. This is how HR operates at the company.
