Pros

Good location in the city.

Cons

Lots of talk about employees and how they're treated, wasn't a reality. Was promised a bonus and raise, neither ever happened. Profit sharing was supposed to be a thing, but every year there was an excuse why only the directors got a share.

Pros

Co workers are kind and nice everyone. They kind of band together because it is a unsafe and hostile work environment because of the leadership

Cons

Too many to list but they are a non-inclusive, and create a horrible environment for employees to work in. This page is full of fake employee posts, trust me I help write them.

Acquire Response

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We do appreciate you sharing, and I want to address each of your specific concerns because I think it's important that you know you are heard. First, I very much agree with you that the employees at Acquire are kind and nice people. These are traits that we look for when hiring and are glad you are experiencing this! I can't say that I agree, however, that the employees band together because of a potential hostile work environment and leadership. As the People leader, I find that I have numerous close relationships with different employees in the company and that my door is always open to hear any concerns someone might have. It is my privilege to provide a safe space, and I will continue to build an environment where employees feel safe to speak to the leaders or their managers. I also welcome employees to go directly to members of the leadership team as well as our CEO and COO to express any concerns they may have about Acquire (and I believe that often this does happen). As for inclusivity, I believe we are very focused on increasing the sense of belonging of our employees and we put in a ton of effort to diversify our staff (and the numbers show). In this year alone, there will be more trainings, more programs, and more goal setting around DEI than ever before as it is one of our main OKRs (and I will welcome your continuing feedback on it). As a company founded by immigrants with a leadership team comprised of mainly immigrants and underrepresented people, this is really important to us. Also as a female voice in the company, I've not personally felt my voice be tamped down and often encourage the other women and any other underrepresented gender to take their place at the table. I would love to hear more from you around pockets where you do not believe this is happening because it will be helpful to understand and try to address any of these issues immediately. Finally, I would like to say that we do not force people to write employee reviews on Glassdoor, and if ever you feel like someone is asking you to please let me know personally and I'm happy to help. I am the owner of our Acquire Glassdoor account and do NOT want false reviews on here so if you are having to write them, please stop and alert the People Team. The reviews that ARE here, however, are from real Acquire employees who choose to take time out of their day to share their experiences with us, and we are grateful that they do. Your post says that you are a current employee, and I want you to know that my door is always open for you to have a safe space to talk especially as the concerns you have listed in this review are major. The People Team is here to listen, and as a current employee, your voice matters (no matter how hard it may be for us to hear some of these things). If you'd like to take the conversation offline to help us build a better Acquire, I'd love to connect. Feel free to email me directly at my@acquire.io and we can chat. My, VP of People

Don't risk your career

Pros

The only pros I can think of aren't relevant anymore.

Cons

This is not a company for everyone, the leadership team is extremely junior and does not know how to properly run a business. Employees are left with empty promises ranging from career growth, equity, company financials, and more. There is no vision or true strategy and the product is incredibly unstable. Acquire is notorious for reacting to problems rather than strategically planning to avoid potential risks. The CEO has never worked in Software before and doesn't understand how a SaaS business operates. The leadership team's solution for poor business performance has oftentimes been layoffs and frequent organizational restructuring rather than addressing the fundamental problems. The core issues are product and leadership, that's it. This company had a mass market opportunity but could have very well missed its ideal time to market.
