Pros

- The clients - Coworkers are kind, welcoming and supportive - Summer Fridays - Rewarding work

Cons

- Extreme confusion and misinformation on basic communications/performance standards from the top down - New ED is visibly not trusted or respected by most of management team - No room for growth, raises, promotions, etc. whatsoever, even after requests following near perfect performance reviews - HR does not appear to realize that her email calendar is publicly accessible which allows any staff person to see private appointments/descriptions of said appointments -Little to no support during dangerous situations with clients - Unequal treatment of clients depending on if they were known to management or not - Some of the sites are literally falling apart, unsafe working environment

Pros

-Supportive colleagues -Compassionate connections to clients -Learn a lot about HIV and get experience in different medical settings

Cons

-The amount of work you are expected to do for the pay is NOT equal. -You will not see a raise even after a year of working here. No room for growth -All you have to know about this place is reflected by the turnover rate. Also, because of this you will need to cover the clients whose CMs have left, adding to an already heavy case load. -This organization does not care about the safety of its staff. Multiple times there have been threats on CMs safety and supervisors and the upper management did nothing to address this. -this becomes less of a medical case management job as you are made to do everything with the client, from housing to SSI. -Training is minimal. You are “oriented” over one zoom call for one day and then given clients and expected to figure it out. Trust me, if you want to work in this field there are places that have more money and appreciation for staff and resources for clients! Run… run fast.
