Action Wellness was one of the most impactful work experiences I've had. The work is inherently challenging and the paperwork requirements can be burdensome but these requirements were not usually set by Action Wellness, but rather by outside funders. If you show you're doing your best, you will find this to be a supportive environment with people who care a great deal about clients and management who cares about staff. You will also learn a lot about about the systems people must engage with to get the care and support they need. Lot's of training offered, including opportunities for CEUs if needed. There is growth potential as well for those who have or are pursuing advanced degrees in human services.
Cons
Amount of work fluctuates week to week due to client needs, case management team needs, and paperwork demands and it can feel like a lot. Good time management skills are a must.
