Few women in leadership roles, with no women managers on the developer side of the business. Very few women developers at all.
Since 2020, there have been layoffs at least one a year. Business is very slow to come in, and they acquired a nearshore company which has been the focus. I expect continued domestic layoffs to be ongoing. The message is for the developers to try and be up-selling their current projects, since the sales team is having trouble bringing in new work.
During a layoff last year, they let go the only two women in the company who had taken maternity leave.
Work can be monotonous if on the same type of projects.
Estimates and scope are always tight and expect the developer to make up the time or always do things faster.
