Local office staff are great. Upper Management will suck the life out of you.
Pros
Work schedule (Monday-Friday, 7.5 hour days). Local office staff are very friendly and welcoming made you feel like a part of a family. I gained lifelong friendships here. Leave time was sufficient. Rewarding work done for clients. Free supervisor to new professionals.
Cons
Upper management (administration) is 100% awful. The members of administration lack integrity, have low moral character, and often ask employees to do things which are unethical. They are led by a money hungry CEO who is known for misappropriating funds into her own pocket. She treats the company as if it is a factory instead of a community mental health provider. Clinicians and service providers are expected to carry HUGE case loads making it hard to provide high quality care to clients. There have been times when the budget for the company is so tight that employees have to buy their own toilet paper, yet, the administrative staff are still able to attend high dollar out of state "conferences." While the amount of leave time you are provided is satisfactory working here is so emotionally exhausting that any break you get from work is never enough to fully recover.
