Pros

-Flexible work hours, as long as you are in 38 hours/week in the office, you can leave except core hours. Which is reasonable. -Chances to work on a global projects. -Chances to jump to a new department easier than most of the companies.

Cons

*This is only about the Istanbul office.* -Fringe benefits are the worst. There's no shuttles (like other companies in Turkey) to work or financial support/allowance. Simply, they don't care how you come to the office. Also management has told the employees they're never going to give extra money for the road. -Also the 'private' health insurance is really bad. Not the health insurance company, the terms between adesso Turkey and the insurance company are the worst. They also don't change a thing, because it will make them pay more. -It seems management and HR are trying to build a lean management system. They show it like that. But when it comes to decisions (trivial or important), they simply don't care about your opinion, if you're not some kind of manager. -Because of the lack of the people in the company, they made many senior developer some kinds of managers. And those people don't have neither leadership nor social skills, at all. -This company has no culture. Everyone is hired by their technical skills now, even if they don't match the company's personality. It wasn't used to be like this, HR was able to disapprove some person if they didn't have the same mentality with the rest of the company. It used to be great in 2018. -Newly changed HR is really the worst. They can't do anything to make people feel welcome, part of the family. They're just being good to the management. -The pays are really lower than the market. -Pays are also not equal. You can make much more/lower than the same level colleague. -When an employee says they're going to leave for more money, they just raise up their paycheck, to keep them in the firm. -This is depending on the project, but there are so many people who works overtime so much. They don't get paid or get any vacation (like even a day). Or no one comes and asks how you're doing with that much work. -adesso Turkey is legally known as research&development center. This is just means they get incentive money from the state, in exchange of employees stay in the office for 38 hours/week. There's no real R&D going on, adesso is not producing any new innovation or something. But the management is bragging about this in EU, like there's a new innovative development in adesso Turkey. -The most important things in this firm are 1. bookings, 2. R&D working hours. So basically, the only important thing is the employer is getting paid or not. If an employee fails/forgets to book even an hour, changes are really high, they will be rebuked. -If an employee resigns, the management/their lead will literally gets resented. Their response is always emotional pressure.

Pros

To be fair, let's list the pros first. Working hours are comfortable and as long as you work 38 hours a week, you can leave the office even at 4 PM. If you prefer, you can come to office at 7 AM or 9 AM, you have freedom about it. Good work life balance. I haven't see anyone works overtime (maybe there are a couple of people but don't think it's common at all). Salaries are paid on time (the last working day of month). Kitchen with cereals and coffee machines. The laptop and monitor they provide is decent.

Cons

Oh boy. There are a lot of bad things thats why I don't recommend. The company can't keep its employees, people quit the job more than ever before, especially senior people leave. It's common for quitting the job after half a year. Do you wonder why? Continue reading. The managers hire people almost without any criteria so you work with not qualified people. You don't come across people with good educational background (only good ones are in the mobile development team but even their leader quitted the job months ago), so the quality of work employees do is horrible. This applies to seniors too, don't expect to learn something good from them. Managers only care about the number of employees so if 20 people quit in a month, if they can hire 21 they say we hired more people so it does not matter. Nevermind asking themselves why did they lose the people... There is no educational stuff at the company, no events and no memberships. The company tries to be agile but doing it somewhat is not agile (using Jira and doing daily is not enough to be agile), it's more like waterfall. There is a vertical hierarchy even though it does not appear like that. You can treat your manager as your colleague (which is a good thing and a sign of flat hierarchy) but all the decisions (from somewhat trivial to critical) are made by 1-2 managers. If there's a planning meeting but your manager does not attend, and you tried to plan how to design the page and so but a day after he will change the design completely without telling you anything about it. You can also get criticised for trivial things. In some projects people use dead end technologies. You see people gossip everyday. The salary is very very low according to the market. People with 0-2 years of experience earn 2,5-3,5k Turkish liras a month. Salary increases are like once a year but it has a fixed time, so if you joined at January, your salary will increase the next year's June.

Pros

Like other tech companies, they provide MacBooks for development.

Cons

Not a research & development company. Mostly support projects, there is no project starts newly, as junior frontend dev I cant develope skills. Frontend devs opinions reject easily. Managers don't know me about anything. Too many newcomers and too many resign. Low salary.
