Pros
Reservations & Support team-lead is absolutely amazing person, great colleague and a leader who stands up for her team. Low workload during the off-season Days off guaranteed even during the season +50% for every OT hour (can replace 6hrs OT for a day off too) If you ever get the contract, benefits are actually good
Cons
Salary is low. Want to make a living? Good luck, because you'll need overtime. Other team-leads (who are also board members) are always interfering with every single aspect of your work. You made a mistake? Okay, we'll remember that and point it out and comment on it in every possible situation (this refers to said other team-leads, not your own who actually tries to fix it and make sure you learn in a friendly manner). HR is NOT your friend, no matter how hard they tried to sell that. You took the "anonymous" talk? It's everything but anonymous. Also, they spam "employee satisfaction surveys" where they promise to "fix" things that people complain about. Been there some time, nothing changed - except people. Want to advance in your career? This is not the place for you. You're stuck in one place and that's it. Absolutely no chance you get a full time contract that's not on 6 or 12 months if you're not there for 3 years. Even then it's not a guarantee because they will "send you to cooling" for 3 months and call you back so they can keep this up. You've completed all your work in below 8 hours? Good, here's more work because YOU CAN'T leave if you're productive. You HAVE to sit 8 hours there. Want to have a lunch and a coffee? You have 45minutes paid and YOU BETTER get back to office or you're staying OT or having a deficit in the "hours pool". That being said, when you get to office you have to click "start work" button, also when you go home. Also when you go to the pause, also when you get back from the pause. MICROMANAGEMENT AT ITS FINEST AND STRONGEST! For some reason team-lead of Accounting and Finance department schools you how to do your job (?). When to call someone, what to say... Like, let me do my job how my team-lead wants me to? That same team-lead is atrocious 40ish year old woman who is not satisfied with herself, so she WILL nag you about stuff and complain. Every mistake will be pointed out and held over you. She will do everything with a smile though and end almost every message with ":)" so you know she's friendly and really decent person! Heard more complaints about her attitude than good stuff about her to be honest. Incompetent board members who keep spinning in circles. They constantly have meetings, but that's just an excuse to go there and basically talk and gossip. 3 hours meeting to conclude "we need more renters and better placement to the guests". Pool of detectives, that. This year people were quitting massively - due to workload, micromanagement and relationships with other team-leads who are toxic. For a company that's a tourist agency, the fact that IT department is the largest one (17 people currently, I think) speaks volumes. People often comment on that because during the season you don't have enough time to answer the call (or email, or message) because there are no enough people - but IT department constantly hires.
