Pros

Don't have any at this time.

Cons

Poor senior level of management. CEO is a joke and should be removed from her position. The board has no idea what is really going on. Someone needs to inform them, better yet the federal government who funds this place should come in and investigate. Staff have been here for 3 and 4 years with no raises, but yet and still the CEO ensured that she received one or two. She has mishandled funds in the organization, the former COO assisted her. Grant monies are not allocated as they should and someone needs to come in and investigate what is going on. The new CHRO, is now acting as the COO, making decisions in the lives of staff that are already living at the poverty level of the patients that are served there. They are only here for the Medicaid money, patients are left waiting for hours, providers only have 20 minute appointment slots, and with the amount of issues these patients have, the poor providers can't provide the quality of care they would like to provide. The patients seen here are not treated very well.

Pros

Taking care of patients that have no access to healthcare otherwise.

Cons

Senior management has been there too long and has burned many community bridges that are essential for continued success of the organization. Lots of favoritism and little tolerance for change suggestions if not introduced by senior management.

Pros

None that I can think of.

Cons

EVERYTHING but the mission. Apply here ONLY if no one else will hire you. They are desperate, but your employment will be like a revolving door. One day I went to work and the entire HR department had resigned. Out of a key staff of 27, 14 have resigned and this does not include Providers and other administrative staff. For a reason. Last year the CEO, Penella Washington gave herself and the COO a significant salary increase even though the organization was BROKE. In a Town Hall meeting this past summer when asked by concerned employees about salary increases, the COO, (former) Charles Faust, Jr. stated that there was no money in the budget for salary increases for the employees, neglecting to mention the fact that the CEO and COO had given themselves increases. Does the BOD knows about this? The bank froze the LOC and the CEO has flown through the Federal grant that they receive, spending with no regard to budgeting, including purchasing $7,500 of Christmas decorations last year when funds were needed to pay the bills. Labor heavy, they do not control spending and will soon again, be on credit hold with every vendor out there, cutting off their medical supplies for patients. Do you want to get paid? I would suggest looking elsewhere. This place is a walking BAD DECISION, due to the CEO. If she really cared about the organization and the mission, she would resign.
