      Pros

      - Exposure to a lot of clients (other companies in the bay area) - Lots of different areas that you can learn in- can be a great place to start your career

      Cons

      - Being an engineering consulting/service, you don't always get your own office - and might not see the same coworkers after a couple months (most of the time you are a guest at the host company) - You can only work on the type of projects that ADVENT gets from other companies

      Great for very ambitious engineers with GMP / GDP mindset

      Pros

      This company likes to take very challenging projects where they can provide project management expertise, not just providing bodies to clients. And the people I have worked with were all very hard working, technically quite knowledgeable and wonderfully to the point. Very little politics! You do a great job, they'll love you.

      Cons

      It can be very sink or swim if you are in the middle of an intense project, not very supportive if client-related issues arise. You are expected to be totally dedicated; but that actually a plus as their reputation keeps them in business if you're up to the challenge.
