Passionate people work here! Good mission.

Organization is undergoing tremendous change and handling it... poorly. Staff turnover reflects the culture, which is turbulent. Employees are not well taken care of, despite best intentions especially in middle management. Give serious consideration before applying for a job here. If you do choose to apply for a role at ACA, I highly encourage you to ask to speak to at least one person currently on staff to get a sense of current org culture.

ACA once had a great workplace environment.

Cons

This organization perpetuates the toxic environment that is fostered by the non-profit sector. They will re-organize your job and add to your job description without compensation. The people at the top are vastly unqualified and somehow convinced an uninvolved board of directors to pay them ridiculous salaries while laying off over 10% of the staff.

Equal time for work and study. Supervisor and boss were totally agreeable and unbothered by flexible student schedule. Very accommodating.

Cons

(For work-study) sometimes not enough work. Really no complaints though
