Great Product, But Leadership and People Culture Need Immediate Attention
Pros
Talented colleagues, especially within the India HR team, and collaborative teams across the organization. Interesting product with opportunities to work on meaningful and impactful initiatives.
Cons
My experience during the last 7–8 months was extremely disappointing due to the culture within the People function. I experienced an environment that felt driven by politics, micromanagement, and favoritism, which had a noticeable impact on employee morale and trust. Employees were assigned new responsibilities with little or no training, documentation, or transition support. Despite this, there was an expectation of flawless execution from day one. Mistakes, which are a natural part of learning, were often treated as performance issues instead of opportunities for coaching and development. The US People Leadership lacked empathy and effective people management. Decisions often felt reactive rather than supportive, and there was limited investment in helping employees learn, grow, or succeed. Instead of creating psychological safety, the environment created a fear of making even minor mistakes. From my perspective, the US HR function became increasingly influenced by internal politics, which affected decision-making and employee experience. Having worked at the company for more than three years, I witnessed a significant shift in culture. The previous leadership team fostered a far more collaborative, supportive, and employee-focused environment. Unfortunately, that culture changed considerably over the past several months.
