Pros

The work is the same as it was at my previous company where I was doing the same role with the aim of 5-6 cases a day, but management is so much more supportive and cares about your well being. You feel much more autonomous rather than micromanaged and that has been absolutely amazing for my work life balance and job satisfaction. I was with my previous company for two years and there was not even the hint of progression despite repeated requests and being told I was performing amazingly. I was only at Advohealth for two months before being encouraged to apply for the NET trainer role and succeeding in doing so! Advohealth is very much forward thinking rather than reactive and rewards people when they are doing the best they can rather than expecting more which prevents burnout. I would definitely recommend this company to work for. The work is intense and difficult at times as it is in all places but management seem to understand that and there is much more support in terms of regular training and check ins to see how you are doing.

Cons

The work can be difficult at times but that is solely as it is the role of a functional assessor and not a reflection of advohealth.

Pros

The most rewarding part of my role, is being able to speak to people in depth, and feeling like I am making a difference to someones life.

Cons

The hardest part of my job is time constraints, as with any job in healthcare, we always wish we could give more of ourselves to our clients/patients.

Many of our Functional Assessors agree, the most rewarding part of the role is speaking with claimants and making a potentially stressful experience a positive one. You clearly enjoy this aspect, being able to make a difference ensuring individuals feel heard. Many thanks, Advo Health.
