Terrible Employment

Pros

The company has some nice equipment.

Cons

Terrible leadership. The CEO has little care for employees' health or concerns. Underpaid staff. Starting salary for a lab chemist is well under the national average. Not much room for progression unless you plan to stay for a long time.

Pros

If you succeed, it is a matter of luck and doing it yourself. They give you very little time to prove yourself. Unrealistic.

Cons

They do not support their sales staff at all. It is amazing how little they care about what you do in the field but they want results fast with no support. Not a good way to do business.

Replaceable

Pros

A couple of coworkers are the best people I've ever met.

Cons

You are replaceable at any moment - the CEO says it openly. Not only that, you're replaceable with a monkey. No clear chain of command; leads fight supervisors for power. No structured training; the same mistake can be made regularly costing man hours (working later than needed) with no correction or retraining. Safety violations go unchecked; dangerous chemicals left in open containers; large bins of broken glass dumped in the trash as opposed to our glass disposal system. High attrition rate amount employees. Horrible pay. Requires at least a 4 year degree but compensation makes you wonder how long until the business goes under. If you can't afford to hire people, your business model needs more attention.
