Pros
It has been truly exciting to witness the growth of this company, and amazing to meet, get to know and work alongside other like-minded professionals from all types of different backgrounds both inside and outside of the aviation sector. Whether I'm working a remote day and interacting with colleagues overseas, or in-person team ideation in our NW and SE UK offices, the various departments are a pleasure to work alongside. Startup life of course has it's challenges, and definitely isn't for everyone. But I've been getting a real buzz from the 'strap your boots' and 'problem-solving' nature of the startup-sphere, and it's been brilliant to see the business mature as it grows. The first interaction with the company is typically with the friendly, welcoming and energetic People Team. Eve always does a fantastic job of onboarding new starters and making them feel instantly at home, and Jessie and Dai hold a wealth of expertise in HR and are always on hand to help with any issues anyone may have. At AeroCloud, you’re empowered to take charge of your role, and it’s inspiring to see team members flourish, enhancing their skills and receiving recognition from leadership. This is a place that truly values initiative and adaptability. AeroCloud has also given me the opportunity to travel to some awesome places at the many conferences the business attends and exhibits at across Europe and USA. Overall, after some tough growing pains, AeroCloud feels like it really has a collaborative sense of direction and a good sense of 'we're in it together' and it's genuinely the best place I have ever worked.
Cons
Sometimes the pace can be a little overwhelming, never to the extreme I'd say, but startups aren't for everyone. I think if you know your limits, set your own boundaries and reach out for support when needed rather than suffer in silence, that always helps.
