Unappreciated Robots Wanted

Pros

Newly appointed management might be able to change the toxic culture of negativity and distrust.

Cons

Zero Trust Zero Flexibility Zero Emotional Intelligence Zero Personal Development Opportunities You may have intelligence and ideas, but you will be managed like a robot, nothing will be good enough, and you will not celebrate success despite the company being in the news for its phenomenal growth and outstanding product. Management believe these results are because they work the robots with an iron fist: no flexibility, working from home is considered non-productive holiday, employees must clock in and out of the office, if you talk your desk gets moved, screaming at direct reports until they are in tears goes unpunished. The air is that of toxic discontentment and overbearing threat, if you try to escalate an issue it will be the ned of you. There are countless amazing individuals who are contributing to great success but everyone feels worthless, untrusted and the overbearing threatening tone keeps people in-line. You can see from other reviews that most people leave unhappy, there has been a wave of positive reviews in the past few weeks from current employees following a company-wide request to leave a good reviews to improve their rating: just 6 of the 300 employees did it, the rest will leave negative reviews when they manage to get out unless things change quickly.

Outdated company culture

Pros

The company has invested significantly in its new R&D building, and appears to be thriving in terms of sales. If you are bullish you can get some good experience under your belt before you move on to something better.

Cons

Tangible mistrust from management and HR towards staff. Rigid working conditions that simply don't compete in a modern employment market. Little respect for staff welfare; all employees required to return to site unnecessarily during covid pandemic making it difficult to maintain social distance On the surface remuneration looks reasonable, but doesn't stack up when factoring in actual hours worked, no sick pay in the first year etc. Career growth unclear, with very little training unless you demand it. Notable lack of experienced female staff, likely due to mysogynistic company culture and poor flexibility.

Pros

* Some staff members are quite friendly. * The Sports & Social events are fun.

Cons

* Totally inflexible - earliest shift is 8-5 - useless for appointments, banks etc. * The only alternate shifts are 9-6 or 10-7. * You cannot start earlier than 8. This would be a great way to beat the traffic. * Working hours exacerbate the home commute with Galway Traffic. * If you work an hour overtime you cannot start an hour later the next day. * 1 Hour Lunch break - Everyone would prefer a half-hour * Paper-Based Document & Quality System - Wastes Paper & Time * Implicit Blame Culture * Pass-the-Buck Attitude * Menacing attitude and emails from certain staff members. * Serious Bullying and Confrontational Attitude with Senior members of staff. * Nepotism * HR and certain management are very condescending. * A lot of time is wasted on Meetings. * A gym class is performed in the canteen - the same place where people Eat! * High-Turn over off staff * Lack of Organisation.
