Pros

The pay is extremely competitive. The health plan is, in my experience, unparalleled. There is RRSP matching (essentially a pension), and you can buy an extra week of vacation.

Cons

This place is ridiculous. Typical bottom-line nonsense, laying people off, offshoring, increasing workloads on existing staff, changing direction every few months... very typical corporate job with the executives in Toronto and the workers in Montreal, with all the executives so busy using buzzwords and maximizing profit for the shareholders that they have completely lost site of life in the trenches.

Some decent, smart and committed peers to work with. Work/life balance is respected, but not by all managers.

Cons

Horrible politics. Constant re-organizations. Total lack of innovation and fresh ideas. Stale senior executive team, devoid of any original thought or transparency. Product has a very poor value proposition, and it's getting worse.

Pros

A growing industry in which an individual can benefit from exposure to one-on-one communications and multiple stakeholders. The compensation vs. other companies in Montreal are rather good.

Cons

The appearance of favouratism, lack of transperancy, a lot of smoke and mirrors, working in Montreal where opportunities are not great (Aeroplan takes advantage by lower pay)...Back stabbing is accepted and individuals have been promoted for being political. Very little work life balance...executive will work you on the weekends and evenings regularly.
