Pros

Good training nice colleagues THe people we support Information system

Cons

The management are completely out of touch and do not know what to do to keep people. This was recently made evident by thank you cards, as they think this will keep staff. People are over worked with little support Lots of pressure from the top with no support. Recent pay rise (more for some roles) was offensive.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. As an employer we strive to provide a positive working environment where staff feel appropriately supported and valued – our use of thank you cards to hard working staff is just one initiative that generally receives lots of positive feedback. Following the staff engagement survey, staff from across the organisation have inputted into an action plan to ensure we capture what staff told us and respond appropriately. There are several pieces of work in progress to aid staff retention, including increasing pay rates for some staff. It is disappointing that you see the wage rise negatively, the differential between pay increases was due to the need to recognise the responsibilities of those within certain operational roles. We encourage all staff members to express their views and we welcome feedback e.g. via the staff engagement survey, workshops, staff forums and divisional events. The Senior Management Team are both motivated and committed to improve the experience of the people we support and all staff members and we will continually strive to improve. I was pleased to see that you valued the support of your colleagues and that you found our information system a valuable tool. With regard to your comments about our learning and development, I agree the training we provide is very good and it is praised frequently. Victoria Neish, Director of Operations and Quality
