AP Don't Like Paying Their Employees

Pros

Occasionally breathtaking styles, working with girls who make you laugh when the pressure is high, lovely clients. Decent discount.

Cons

Most people in management are sociopaths. Past regional manager used to refer to us as "convicts". No HR presence in Australia. No support from marketing. Terrible salary / commission compared to how much money we make for the company, and also the amount of extra work everyone is expected to put in. Our pay is regularly late and the last time it happened, everyone was cc'd in on an email from finance to the Australian accountant which said "the pay is going to be late again. You'd better let _____ know or you'll have girls hassling you all day" YES, because staff worrying about how they're going to pay their bills and feed themselves is really a HASSLE. If I turned up to work late as often as they are late with paying us, then I would have been fired by now. For pay to be late in regular intervals is just plain unacceptable; for it to happen the week of Christmas is just plain offensive.

Pros

The other girls we work with are fabulous and we all support eachother and help eachother out, lending eachother money when AP have failed to pay us etc. it's tough but we are all friends. This talent recruiter that replies has no idea how things work in Australia

Cons

Despite the generic responses you read below, these people are hopeless they do not pay their staff, the incentives and commission schemes are better than nothing but don't even remotely reflect what we make for the company.
