1. the culture
As harsh as this might sound, in my eyes AGERAS has lost its culture. What once was a crazy bunch of sales people, loud music and a happiness manager turned into a place without a soul.
In average an employees time lasts at Ageras for a year or less. Within the last year the entire staff (except management) left or was fired. The result leaves a group of people behind that are not able to connect anymore because they never had a culture in the first place.
Different markets with different office hours makes people work in different shifts. The result is, that certain teams leave before others. A Fridaybar once had 15-30 colleagues, now we are tops 10 people.
A quiet place, anonymous. People don’t identify with the company in pride but in disrespect towards management and irony towards their decisions.
2. company strategy
“Very investor driven” sums it up. That’s why focus is on sales only. We hire sales people because it’s the only KPI that matters. In the last 2 years we haven’t developed in structure, culture, system, direction or product, if you look beneath the surface.
3. a career at Ageras
From the people I have seen coming and going over the last years, not a single employee has improved in his status, his field of influence and very very rarely in his salary.
Just because there is no space and plan of doing so.
At Ageras we put employees in boxes. Especially in the Operations Departments there is no interest in developing people.
There is not a budget, nor a structure for it.
4. management
Unfortunate I see management as the core of problems above.
On top of it you find a very egocentric and unexperienced CEO willing to do anything for the company but also to just improve his positions or to make a point.
I have seen people getting fired over nothing, pressured and pushed to unreasonable extend, harassed in front of others. The rest of the management team doesn’t dare or really wants to stands up for their employees.
