Pros

No pros what so ever. I learnt how horrible people can be and how many lies they can tell looking into your eyes. All in all, educative to see how low people can get:)

Cons

It was very entertaining to read agile search's response to the negative reviews. That exactly shows how incompetent they are at receiving and giving feedback. Horrible feedback culture although they constantly talk about it. Very interesting place. They are also lying a lot! They were never ever gentle in any ways, let alone giving feedback. They actually yelled at me couple of times. I wasn't disrespectful to their senior (5 years experienced, as you can see they have to mention this because if you are 5 years experienced in agile search you can be rude to others in their world) person at all yet she was absolutely micromanaging and rude to everyone in the company. It is mentioned before that everyone is disturbed by her and also the upper management, yet employees can't do anything about it as they feel in debted to the company. In my opinion, even if someone starts a new position in tech recruitment or any field with no previous experience (I have previous software engineering experience btw), one can still listen to any person respectfully (even if she has 5 whatever years experience). Beacuse this is common sense it's how it should be in a proper work place. You can't justify not ever exchanging ideas by saying I've 5 years experience... Of course I question if someone claims that something obvious is something else... What a circus... I can't even believe I have to explain this to anyone, especially to someone with 5 years experience. Leave it there, there's no point trying to justify how horrible of a work environment you've created. There's no point to it. I also witnessed senior management scolding a software engineer candidate during an interview. So they can show their true colours to not only to their own people but also to anyone else... I only wish good luck and patience to the current employees.

Agile Search Response
5y
Thank you for your review. First, we are sorry you feel that way about your time at Agile Search, especially considering you spent three years with us. While it is okay to be disappointed in management, there is no need to speak badly about your colleagues who have continued their journey with the company. Last year was admittedly hard for all of us and tough decisions had to be made due to a global crisis (covid-19); feel free to approach us directly if there is anything you would like to discuss further. It is very true that Agile Search offers a steep learning curve to its employees; we also happily hire talent for potential and not necessarily just experience. In your 3 years with us, we are sure you have seen your colleagues grow and gain valuable experience with and through the company. This is one of the reasons why we have people staying with us for 5+ years and while some do leave for new opportunities, we always maintain both friendly and professional contact with our former employees. Now to address your other points: - No transparency: we communicate weekly and in a transparent way regarding sales, delivery, marketing, finances, HR, and recruitment. While there is always room for improvement and we are working on making our communication better, we have always tried to be forthright and honest in our communication. - Reckless budgeting: You are correct in that, for a long time, we invested and hoped that the team would be able to turn the situation around if we gave more resources and support (at a loss). Eventually, things didn’t improve and with the onset of Corona, we were put in a hard situation that forced us to make equally difficult decisions in order to save the company and the jobs of as many coworkers as we could. We have also learned a lot from last year and we will not repeat the same mistakes in the future. The good thing is that now, we have managed to turn the situation around and we are onto an excellent financial result, a stable environment, and are back to a positive capital. - Salary levels: we function on a base salary and variable salary. We have employees who consistently hit their targets, but the amount of work also varies. We also understand the hardships of the previous year have made it difficult for us to reach our goals; we apologize for the situation, but it was also something we worked very hard to minimize the negative consequences for our employees. - Renewing ourselves: We have to disagree. Again, taking into account the previous year, we could honestly not afford to take new risk but rather focused on ensuring the company survived a very difficult period. This we have managed to achieve, yet hard decisions had to be made along the way. True to our name, though, we have launched several new services (one with a POC achieved last year and another one about to launch) as well as shifted our mode of operation to better suit market and client needs. Our ability to quickly adapt to the market is one of the reasons Agile Search is well into its 2nd decade of existence and our dedication to continuous improvement the reason we are currently on a high growth path. - Attitude towards clients and no self-reflection – As you likely know, we have highly satisfied clients we have worked with for years that recognize our brand and our ability to deliver high quality candidates quickly. We work with some of the biggest (tech) companies in the Nordics who recognize Agile Search as a true growth partner and while our relationships aren’t always perfect, we have managed to maintain successful partnerships for years. Our new clients also quickly recognize the value we can bring, and our collaboration often tends to grow rather than end. Finally, we are sorry if you’re unhappy with your time at Agile Search. Know that, having had you with us for three years as you mentioned, we are grateful for your contribution and work. We really enjoyed our time together and it seems like you did for a long time as well, so we're sorry you feel this way now. Please note that, at Agile Search, you create your own path; you have the freedom to explore new ideas and improve things. It may be true that not every such idea might stick, but the opportunity to make impact is there if you’re willing to take it, like some of your former colleagues have.

Cons

The load can increase a bit at sometimes so you would be handling a handful accounts. But it will pay off with bonuses.
